São Paulo, October 26, 2021 – In a year when UOL EdTech, the largest education technology company in Brazil, received an unprecedented investment from the SoftBank Latin America Fund and acquired Passei Direto, the company continues to lead Brazil’s digital transformation in education and announces the acquisition of Skore, a startup that develops one of the most innovative Learning Experience Platforms (LXP) in the market.

With this acquisition, UOL EdTech now offers the most comprehensive ecosystem in the market, connecting businesses, universities, and students. “Skore adds tremendous value to our B2B offering and shares our mission to deliver the best and most complete digital education platform for corporate training in Brazil. We are already serving over 500 companies with our training solutions, and we aim to double this number quickly,” says Alex Augusto, CEO of UOL EdTech.

The acquisition of Skore by UOL EdTech comes at a time when digital transformation in business is accelerating rapidly. With distributed teams, remote leadership, and hybrid work models becoming the norm, corporate training must align with this new reality, facilitating the continuous development of employees through courses focused on the essential skills required in an ever-changing environment. Training and engaging teams has never been more critical.

“Digital learning experiences must focus on the employee, considering new work habits and a digital lifestyle. High-quality digital training today requires more than a traditional LMS (Learning Management System); it needs to prioritize the user experience by combining management, seamless interaction, and diverse content in a single platform. This is precisely the approach of our LXP (Learning Experience Platform),” says Luis Novo, a Skore co-founder and now UOL EdTech’s Product Director.

With over four years in the corporate market, hundreds of clients, and more than one million employees trained, Skore’s LXP is a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution that is user-centric and easy to implement.

“Our goal is to introduce this unique offering to the Brazilian market by integrating the best of our LMS, Atena, with Skore’s LXP. We aim to deliver an innovative solution that provides a unique digital learning experience for employees while meeting HR managers’ data management and performance needs,” adds Luis Novo.

Along with enhancing digital learning experiences, the new offering enables UOL EdTech to expand its reach to SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises), allowing companies of all sizes to leverage cutting-edge technology to train their workforce.

UOL EdTech has impacted over 100,000 students through MBA and postgraduate programs from prestigious universities, over 4 million active users on its peer-to-peer study platform, and more than 500 large companies using its corporate training solutions. Since its founding in 2017, UOL EdTech has integrated pioneering players in corporate education in Brazil, such as Ciatech and Webaula, and today, its corporate training solutions reach over 2 million professionals.
